Lyft Drivers opt out of agreeing not to sue

I have found myself being deactivated after several false reports from drivers and perhaps accidental taps in which a passenger told the claims department he was not in an accident that Lyft said I was involved in. Looking through the terms of agreement I am automatically agreed not to file a lawsuit but go through arbitration in which they as of now have not given me information. I had the option within the first days to opt out of that agreement so let me warn the new drivers opt out if want the ability to sue one say even in a class action lawsuit. It made me wonder why did it take the claims department to actually contact the passenger and not Lyft. It appears they don't investigate. Same with intoxication or having an illegal subtance general complaint. Obvious since they don't know which one they don't investigate the complaint to see if it is really true or even give you a chance to give a drop.

First Candidate Forum for 2015 Mayor Election of Chicago

On November 1, 2014 Probation Challenge held the first forum for those who want to be mayor of Chicago. The current mayor did not show up. Most whop did said they will get rid of Red Light camera. I say you can't while under contract and the way people run the lights keep it bit improve it with more fair enforcement such as countdown on all lights. This should not be about who will represent just blacks but the whole city and know it is discrimination to give one race contracts

Laws from religion

How often have those who oppose certain moralities are accused of forcing religious beliefs on all people? The fact of the matter is that many of our most important laws can be found in religion. Thou shall not steal, Thou shall not kill, thou shall not bare false witness(contempt of court) all can be found in the Bible and is used today in USA and almost everywhere. Bankruptcy is also laid  out in the Bible. There are also moral laws we find today such as incest and sex with animals written in religion. One may say these were common sense laws and don't need a religious book for them to be in place. Well it is common sense that from the first people on earth man and woman were physically designed to mate with each other. That is why we are all here. No religious teaching is needed to see that.If government was not allowed to make laws concerning morality we would be a country worse then we are now allowing anything goes against what is normal. Remember the laws in the Bible Old Testament were laws that governed the Nation of Israel so these laws from religion is nothing new.

When President Obama ran for president in 2008. Much of a big deal was made about his ties to Rev. Jeremiah Wright and comments he made which appeared to be racial. He was basically forced to denounce him and leave the church despite not being a tithe paying member according to his tax returns. Now it is 2012 and where is the big fuss bout Mitt Romney belonging to church whose founder Joseph Smith who was known to use the word Nigger in his writings.(please google) Has Romney been pressured to denounce or defend the use of the N word? Has he been asked if he ever believed that blacks were cursed? Everyone is entitled to their own religious beliefs but the same pressure that was on Pres. Obama to denounce Wright and Trinity UCC unashamedly black statement- the same should be the same for The Church of Later Day Saints on their racist past.

Catholic Church Vs. Bible

The Catholic church is considered by many to be the official voice of Christianity throughout the world.. Why not. They claim to trace back to the Bible times and officially is one of the oldest organizations proclaiming Jesus as savior. They have spread their gospel all over the world to people willing and unwilling to receive it. They have fed the poor, schooled many, provided medical help in poor countries, opened up hospitals, shelters, etc. Their spiritual leaders work for little or nothing and have vowed to give up many pleasures of life for the cause of the church. All this stuff is good, but is the stuff they are teaching the same as what is written in the word written my men who were inspired by God? Let us look at some examples. 1 Baptizing babies. The Catholic Church sprinkles in babies in what they call baptism. For one, baptism is by submersion-to put under. No one was sprinkled in the Bible Mark 16:16 reads He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. A baby is not able to believe and does not qualify for official baptism. Also Acts 2:38 reads And Peter said unto them Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. A baby cannot repent and does not qualify. Baptizing babies is a false teaching-against what is written in the Bible. 2. Forbidding some to get married Catholic Church does not allow for Priest and Nuns to get married. That is totally false teaching and against the word written in the Bible. Timothy calls this teaching as one of the doctrines of the devil he writes about in 1Tim 4:1-3. In that 3rd verse it reads as a doctrine of the devil-Forbidding men to marry.............. Also 1Tim 2:2 reads A Bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality apt to teach. Here it says HE MUST be the husband of one wife. Catholic Church says he must have no wife. There is a conflict here. As far as Nuns are concerned-women were created to please man form creation. To forbid one to do so will be taking away from what Eve-the example of women in creation-to please man as his wife. Nowhere in Bible is forbidding to marry commanded however Jesus did say some men were made to be eunuchs-but that is from God or their choice- Not as a commandment from man. 3. Priesthood Nowhere in the NT church can we find the office of the priesthood. It was abolished after the resurrection. The purpose of the priest was to make intercession between man and God Heb 7:24 But this man(Jesus) because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them 26 For such a high priest became us who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate, from sinners and made higher than the heavens Jesus is our intercessor between us and God we go directly to him. Nowhere does it say we need a man, dead or alive to get to Jesus. We have become a Royal priesthood (1Pet 2:9) able to speak for ourselves concerning our sins before Jesus. Calling a priest father Not only is there no priest in NT church but if it was-we are not to call him father. JESUS said in Mt. 23:9 we are not to call any man father-when referring to him as a spiritual father. Yes they are references in the letters as one being a father to some in a spiritual sense- but we are not to put that tittle on anyone according to Jesus. Also the Pope is called the Holy Father. If he is the Holy Father-what is our Father in Heaven? Surely he is above the level of any man. Divorce Catholics almost have it right on divorce except that the priest have a right to annul a marriage. It is written clearly in the Bible that adultery or fornication before hand are the only ways that a marriage to be annulled. Simple as that. Catholic churches also teaching not to marry outside of their church. This is religion and God does not have a religion but believers. Truly if two people believe that Jesus died and rose again and have repented from their sins-it is beyond any organization and not biblical sound teaching There are more I can write but let this be a start. I may add more to this blog as time goes by so keep checking. Ask yourself is it more important to follow teachings of man more then the teachings of God? If your church is teaching something opposite, is it the will of God for you to be apart of it.

How the Bishop Long Scandal is Helping to Bring Confusion to the Church

Yesterday at church. I noticed a 10 year old boy sitting by himself in the bathroom crying. I asked him what was wrong as I escorted him to his mother(Can't be seen with crying little boys in bathrooms now a days) He told us we wants his father. The boy suffers from problems and his mother has told me in the past that he will get into this depression and asked me if I can go on the Internet and find his father. I started to say if I you have to do all that to find him, it may be best not to find him because he may disappoint him. I gave the boy a hug and told him I didn't have a father(well one that I knew was my father) around either and he is not alone. The point I will like to make, that in 20 something years of working in the ministry, bringing youth to church, taking them out to eat, some into our home, being a father figure to many, thank God I hove not slipped up with them or even been publicly lied on. A kid like him I would have loved to take on as a role model for him as well as a father figure, but with this recent scandal of Bishop Eddie Long making world headlines, it makes you wonder, suppose I get wrongly accused of the same type of stuff. While I am not saying Bishop Long did it or not, but often in blown up cases like this, especially if money is paid out, copycat lawsuits will start flying from everywhere with people saying they just remembered they were abused. Also, parents will wonder, who can they trust in the church? I read where a lady had a conversation with a church man on the down low who said that the men will find a woman with a fatherless kid, become his male figure in his life, and when he reaches the age of consent, and then make his move. That is dangerous. So now, the parent doesn't know who to trust, and the son may grow up not to have a father figure and is in danger to falling prey to the world of the streets. I have always went out of my way to invite the parents to church when I bring kids. I often try to never be with a kid alone. A pastor from South Africa told me even at his church, he doesn't spend a lot of time talkin with the youth after church because he doesn't want to fall prey to accusations. Men who become mentors or even work with youth in church are being called pedophiles because of the predators who make the news and the church look bad. Sad, when I gave that young man a hug of comfort(in front of his mother) I have to wonder will someone take it the wrong way. Sometimes, kids never even get a hug at home, and soon may not be able to get one at church either. I say this because this is the state of confusion Satan has put the church in. Who and not who to trust. Who and not who to help. How far can we show agape love to them who need it? Outside of praying do I have a answer? I don't but we need to start praying against the spirit of confusion in the church as well against immorality and perversion. The whole situation with Bishop Long has got us all thinking.

Homophobia

What is homophobia? A phobia is a fear of something or someone. Some have a fear of flying. Some have a fear of being in a closed space, but then there is this term homophobia in which should apply to fear of being around homosexuals, but it appears to take on a whole new meaning here.

It appears that many in homosexual activism have taken to call anyone who is against homosexual activity as being homophobic. Now where did that come from? As a Christian, I believe in the several references that homosexuality is a sin. I also believe fornication is a sin, adultery is a sin, drunkeness is a sin, lying is a sin, unforgiving is a sin, and many others. Am I called a fornicatophobic, drunkaphobic, ect. when I say that them who do so are wrong? Of course not, only when we speak out against homosexuality is the phobia applied to it.

Personally, I do not break out in sweats, or have panic attacks if I am in the room or even talking to homosexuals, something that phobic people may do. I even go to a gay man to do my taxes. When I ran for State Rep, lesbians who knew where I stood helped circulate my information. I even unknowingly spent the night in a hotel with a gay man during a church convention of all places, who I was asked to give space to because he had no place to go that night. However, I have the right as a Christian to declare what is wrong without that phobic being applied to me. Am I judging? No, the word written by men who was inspired by God has declared that it is wrong and where sinners who have not repented and believed on Jesus will go. That is my American religious and free speech right that I have.

When there was a movement to stop laws to make it easier for couples to live together, or to erase fornication laws in the states, were they called livingtogetherphobics? But when one wants to stop gay marriage, they are homophoics. Please, stop giving that term to those who express their religious rights.
